2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK350
Mileage184,049Service Date8/10/2026Services Performed- – Performed diagnosis: Scanned for fault codes from the vehicle and found P2279 for a leak detected in the intake air system. Performed a visual inspection of a vehicle and found that the front main seal is making a loud squeaking sound while a vehicle is idling as it warms up. When the oil cap is removed from the engine the sound goes away and the oil cap is also being held down by a large amount of vacuum. Do not recommend driving the vehicle until this issue is fixed as it will cause the front and rear main seals to fail which will lead to other repairs. \ Recommend replacement PCV / centrifuge cover. Will need seals for the high pressure fuel pump system as well. Due to the mileage on the vehicle there is a chance that other components might break while a vehicle's being disassembled to remove the intake manifold to get to the PCV valve.
- – Removed and replaced the air oil separator / centrifuge cover. Verified failure in the centrifuge cover, there is a tear in the diaphragm. Performed a vehicle test drive and further diagnosis. The vehicle is no longer emitting the high pitch squeal sound from the front main seal, hot or cold. Cleared default codes prior to performing test drive and performed a vehicle false scan after, no codes detected at this time.
